(Columbus, May 26, 2017) — The Christian and Missionary Alliance will visit Columbus for the sixth time when Alliance Council 2017 convenes at the SMG-managed Greater Columbus Convention Center and attached hotel properties from May 28 to June 6.
“We’ve been in Columbus more than any other city where we hold events,” said John Stumbo, president of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. “Our focus is really on people. The family really likes to be together and the most important person to us is Jesus.”
Attendees will be visiting from 40 nations and every state in the country.
The group will conduct multiple events in Battelle Grand. The Christian and Missionary Alliance history with that space dates to 1981 when the original Battelle Hall had made its debut just 18 months earlier.
There will be council committee meetings, children’s ministry events, evening services, business sessions and community outreach endeavors as part of the programming.
The alliance is part of a Christ-centered global movement of more than 6 million followers seeking to “bring the good news about Him to our neighborhoods and world.”
“We are honored by the faith and trust the Christian and Missionary Alliance has placed in our city and facility by continuing to return to Columbus and our venue over the years,” said Greater Columbus Convention Center General Manager John R. Page.
