HEROES & GAMES STORE WITHIN GREATER COLUMBUS CONVENTION CENTER NAMED KONAMI TOP PERFORMING OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT STORE

(Columbus, February 18, 2020)  — The Heroes & Games store within the Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC) has been awarded Top Performing Official Tournament Store (OTS) status by Konami Digital Entertainment.

The status provides Heroes & Games with increased opportunities to vend at Konami-hosted events, host regional qualifiers, operate OTS championships and VIP qualifiers, according to Mariel Rubio, Konami Digital Entertainment Senior Tournament Store Liaison for Card Business.

Konami Digital Entertainment produces mobile games, computer & video games, cards, music CDs, movie DVDs and more.

“This is very, very special,” said Doug Simms, Heroes & Games store manager and co-owner, of the award status.  “It opens up opportunities to work with Konami. We can run events with special prizes that only specific stores have access to for officially sanctioned Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments.  We can also be a vendor at Konami events throughout the country.”

Top Performing OTS status is valid for six months.

Heroes & Games specializes in comics, pop culture collectibles and tournaments.  The store runs tournaments several nights a week within the store. 

The store will celebrate its 10^th anniversary in June and has already expanded once while at the GCCC.
