MORE THAN 1,000 GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL TEAMS COMPETING OVER TWO CONSECUTIVE WEEKENDS ON 64 COURTS

Who: Ohio Valley Region of USA Volleyball

What: OVR – Sports Imports Girls Junior Championships

When:  May 5-6 and May 12-13, 2018

Where: Exhibit Halls A-D, Greater Columbus Convention Center

Why: OVR is one of the largest of the 40 regional volleyball associations of USA Volleyball and promotes and establishes quality volleyball competitions for adults and juniors ranging from the local to national level.

How: There will be teams playing on as many as 64 courts throughout the tournament. Competitors will be the top girls’ teams from Ohio, West Virginia and the bordering counties of western Pennsylvania vying for the regional championship. During the six tournament dates in April and May combined, there will be a total of 1,465 teams competing. The tournament was able to grow to a record number of teams this year due to the expansion of the convention center.
