VETERANS RECEIVE FREE ASSISTANCE OCTOBER 16 DURING CENTRAL OHIO VETERANS STAND DOWN
Who: Area military veterans in need
What: Central Ohio Veterans Stand Down
When: October 16, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Where: Greater Columbus Convention Center Exhibit Halls C and D
Why: Connecting military veterans in need to vital services at no cost for “a hand up,” not a hand out.
How: For veterans, there will be free admission, parking and lunch, haircuts, a mini job fair, more than 85 social service agencies ranging from health screenings to legal aid, an art show featuring work by veterans and educational opportunities from colleges, vocational and technical schools.
