(Columbus, October 31, 2018) — The Heroes and Games store within the SMG-managed Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC) South Café & Marketplace will be hosting the Dragon Ball Super Fall State Championship and HeroClix Imperial Uproar Regional Championship on November 4.
The Dragon Ball Super Fall State Championship is the fall state qualifier and will be held beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday.
“We’re one of only two stores in Ohio to host this tournament,” explained Heroes and Games owner Doug Simms.
The store’s selection as a host was based on the consistently high attendance at previous weekly tournaments held within the store.
The tournament entry fee is $10 payable at registration within the Heroes & Games store. The tournament is open to all ages, although previous experience playing the game is recommended.
“This is not for beginners,’ Simms said. “These are very competitive guys.”

The WizKids Open Regional Championships will also begin at 10 a.m. on November 4. Entry fee for this HeroClix Imperial Uproar Regional Championship is $10.
The Heroes and Games store was selected to host the event due to being “one of the top-performing HeroClix stores in the country,” according to Simms. “HeroClix also has side events that are not as serious called Battle Royales.”

Following registration in the Heroes and Games store, tournament play for both events will be held within the nearby Hyatt Regency Columbus Taft C meeting room, around the corner from the Heroes & Games store and on the same floor. There will be prizes awarded.
“Heroes and Games has developed a loyal following for its weekly tournaments,” said GCCC General Manager John Page. “For the store to be awarded the opportunity to host these special events is an honor Doug and his customers deserve.”
Heroes and Games is located within the South Cafe & Marketplace on Level 1 near the GCCC’s south entrance on East Nationwide Boulevard. The store offers a large variety of comic books, collectible video games, board games, toys, snacks and special events for the super hero enthusiast in everyone.
