How: More than 275 exhibits sharing tips in remodeling, kitchen and bathroom design and décor, outdoor living and special features, National Association for Remodeling Industry representatives, “Fixer Upper” show’s Clint Harp, Matt Fox from HGTV’s “Room by Room,” Drab to Fab contest, Recreations Outlet KidZone, The Marketplace Urban Garden built by Weaver Barns, Club Cambria relaxation area, Outdoor Living Oasis, a Home Sweet Gnome contest featuring garden gnomes decorated by local celebrities, with proceeds to benefit Susan G. Komen Columbus.
Tickets: $10 for adults, $7 for seniors age 65 and older at box office only, $5 for ages 6-12, free for children age 5 and younger. $2 discount on adult admission available at www.ohiohomeremodelingshow.com. Hero Day is January 11, with active military, veterans and first responders admitted free with corresponding identification.

Why: Premier Midwest regional restaurant and food service industry trade show attracting more than 4,000 people to learn about the latest products, trends and equipment attractive to independent operators, regional chains, new and established businesses featured by vendors and on the innovation, demonstration, technology and trends stages.
How: Features include new Flavors of the Midwest, Farmers Crossing and Emerging Technology areas; more than 300 booths and 50 seminars, Columbus restaurateur Cameron Mitchell speaking at 11 a.m. January 13 and celebrity chef/restaurateur Michael Symon as keynote speaker on January 13 at 12:30 p.m., competitions including Pizza Pizzazz vying for best pizza in the Midwest on January 13, Burger Battle on January 14, and United States Pizza Team Winter Athletic Trials airing live on ESPN3 at noon on January 14 in freestyle acrobatics, largest dough stretch, fastest pie maker and fastest box folder. The grand prize for freestyle performers is a trip to Italy to compete in the World Pizza Championships.
